Pat's Lasagna

Lasagna

Sauce Layer
1 lb of ground beef ( use 97 -3%)
½ onion
1 large can whole tomatoes
Garlic (use 2 cloves or can use powder or salt)
Italian seasoning to taste
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste if did not use garlic salt

Brown ground beef and onion in frying pan.  Season while cooking with garlic, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning.  Drain off all liquid from the cooking.

Drain juice from the can of tomatoes and place whole tomatoes in with the beef mixture.  Keep juice in case you need more in the pan.  Cut tomatoes into small pieces while in the pan allowing the juice of the tomatoes to mix in with the beef.  Add more seasoning as needed.  Add more juice if needed, but want it to be a thick sauce, not too juicy.  Cook uncovered for 30 minutes, adding more tomato juice, if it appears to thick.
