Peach Cobbler

Peach Cobbler
This comes  from Sandy's Mother-in-law.


1 stick butter
1 cup flour
2/3 cup sugar
1 3/4 tsp baking power
3/4 cup milk
1 can sliced peaches, drained.


Preheat oven to 350.  Place butter in 9x9 inch baking pan and place in oven to melt.
Combine remaining ingredients except for peaches. Pour over melted butter.
Arrange sliced peaches over batter.
Bake for 30-45 minutes or until golden (rotate pan at 15 minutes)


The batter will rise around the peaches as it bakes.


When cooking for large groups: triple the recipe and begin in oven, but finish in convection oven.
